I’m Stephen Ratner, a technology lawyer with a focus on AI and the practical realities of building fast-moving products. I previously served as Legal Counsel at Synthesia, and I also worked as a Product Manager at Remote. I began in government as Deputy Press Secretary at the U.S. Department of Justice.

A consistent thread in my work has been advocating for people who need support, like co-founding the Student Hardship Fund at Emory University or serving as a White House intern. I’m a New Yorker at heart and I’ve traveled to 35 countries and counting, which has shaped how I think about culture, business, and politics.
