We went to Little Lobo and had some great food. Local markets, real Mexican food and street food. There are so many trees in Mexico City.

The best cappuccino I had in CDMX - perfectly creamy, strong, balanced; get it frio when it's hot out. Snug Roma Norte cafe with a little seating upstairs.

El Chorrito market
Local market with a great food court - the menu del dia starts at 55 pesos (main, rice, soup, tortilla). The fruit is enormous and they happily made us vegetarian quesadillas.

A last-minute friend tip that delivered - every plate incredibly delicious. The tostada feels truly mastered; the shrimp curry and the grilled cheese are great too.
